YouTube Money Calculator
Free online YouTube money calculator to estimate channel earnings from views, monetized view rate, CPM, and creator revenue share. This calculator is useful for creators, publishers, channel managers, agencies, brand partners, media planners, and anyone who wants a quick planning estimate for YouTube ad income. YouTube earnings are often discussed loosely, but actual revenue depends on how many views are monetized, what advertisers pay per thousand monetized views, and what share of that revenue reaches the creator. This calculator turns those assumptions into a clear monthly and annual estimate.
This page uses four monetization inputs. Monthly views means the total number of channel or video views in a typical month. Monetized view rate means the percentage of those views that actually show revenue-generating ads or otherwise qualify for monetization. CPM means cost per thousand monetized views. Creator share means the percentage of gross ad revenue that ultimately belongs to the creator. Once these values are entered, the calculator shows monetized views, gross ad revenue, estimated creator revenue, effective RPM, and estimated annual creator revenue. This is useful because many creators think in total views, while many advertisers think in CPM. The calculator connects those two perspectives.
The formula of YouTube money
Monetized views = Monthly views x Monetized view rate / 100
Gross ad revenue = (Monetized views / 1000) x CPM
Estimated creator revenue = Gross ad revenue x Creator share / 100
Effective RPM = (Estimated creator revenue / Monthly views) x 1000
Estimated annual creator revenue = Estimated creator revenue x 12
Here monthly views means the total view count in the selected month, monetized view rate means the share of those views that produce monetized ad impressions, CPM means advertiser spend per thousand monetized views, creator share means the creator’s portion of gross ad income, effective RPM expresses creator revenue per thousand total views, and annual creator revenue extends the monthly estimate across a full year.
Solved Example
Example 1: Find the YouTube earnings if monthly views are 500,000, monetized view rate is 45%, CPM is $8, and creator share is 55%.
Solve: Monetized views = 500000 x 45 / 100 = 225,000
Gross ad revenue = (225000 / 1000) x 8 = 225 x 8 = $1,800
Estimated creator revenue = 1800 x 55 / 100 = $990
Effective RPM = (990 / 500000) x 1000 = $1.98
Estimated annual creator revenue = 990 x 12 = $11,880
Example 2: Find the result if monthly views are 1,200,000, monetized view rate is 50%, CPM is $10, and creator share is 55%.
Solve: Monetized views = 1200000 x 50 / 100 = 600,000
Gross ad revenue = (600000 / 1000) x 10 = $6,000
Estimated creator revenue = 6000 x 55 / 100 = $3,300
Effective RPM = (3300 / 1200000) x 1000 = $2.75
Estimated annual creator revenue = 3300 x 12 = $39,600
Example 3: Find the result if monthly views are 90,000, monetized view rate is 35%, CPM is $6, and creator share is 55%.
Solve: Monetized views = 90000 x 35 / 100 = 31,500
Gross ad revenue = (31500 / 1000) x 6 = $189
Estimated creator revenue = 189 x 55 / 100 = $103.95
Effective RPM = (103.95 / 90000) x 1000 = $1.16
Estimated annual creator revenue = 103.95 x 12 = $1,247.40

How to use this YouTube money calculator
Enter monthly views in the proper input field. After that, enter the monetized view rate as a percentage, then enter CPM, and then enter the creator share percentage. Make sure all assumptions reflect the same period and business model. Then click the calculate button. The calculator will show monetized views, gross ad revenue, estimated creator revenue, effective RPM, and estimated annual creator revenue in the result box.
This calculator is useful when you want to compare revenue scenarios before making content, sponsorship, or growth decisions. Higher views usually increase revenue, but view count alone is not enough. A lower-view channel with better monetized-view rate or stronger CPM can outperform a larger channel with weaker monetization quality. Looking at effective RPM also helps you compare channels or content types on a common basis. That can help with topic selection, upload planning, audience targeting, and revenue forecasting.
When using the result, remember that this is a simplified ad-revenue model. Real YouTube income can be affected by geography, niche, watch time, advertiser demand, seasonality, ad suitability, revenue-source mix, Premium revenue, Shorts monetization, and non-ad income such as sponsorships or affiliates. Even so, this calculator gives a practical first-pass estimate and helps turn traffic assumptions into a clearer earnings view. This calculator gives a fast numerical view that supports creator planning, channel analysis, monetization forecasting, and business review.
