Conversion Rate Calculator

Free online conversion rate calculator to measure the percentage of visitors, users, leads, or clicks that complete a desired action. This calculator is useful for marketers, business owners, ecommerce teams, SEO specialists, advertising managers, product teams, and sales teams who want to understand how efficiently traffic turns into results. A conversion can mean a sale, signup, download, form submission, booked call, app install, or any other goal you want people to complete.

The calculator works with two simple values: conversions and total opportunities. Conversions are the number of successful actions completed. Total opportunities are the total visitors, clicks, leads, sessions, or users that had a chance to convert. Once those numbers are entered, the calculator shows the conversion rate as both a ratio and a percentage. This makes it easy to compare campaign performance, landing page quality, traffic intent, and funnel strength across different channels.

The formula of conversion rate

Conversion rate = (Conversions / Total opportunities) x 100

Conversion ratio = Conversions / Total opportunities

Here conversions means the number of people who completed the desired action, and total opportunities means the total number of people, visits, leads, or clicks measured in the same period. The result shows what share of the total audience converted successfully.

Solved Example

Example 1: Find the conversion rate if an ad campaign generated 45 purchases from 1,500 visitors.

Solve: Conversion ratio = 45 / 1500 = 0.03

Conversion rate = (45 / 1500) x 100 = 3%

Example 2: Find the result if a landing page generated 120 signups from 2,400 visitors.

Solve: Conversion ratio = 120 / 2400 = 0.05

Conversion rate = (120 / 2400) x 100 = 5%

Example 3: Find the result if an email campaign generated 68 leads from 850 clicks.

Solve: Conversion ratio = 68 / 850 = 0.08

Conversion rate = (68 / 850) x 100 = 8%

Table of conversion rate calculator

Conversions Total Opportunities Ratio Conversion Rate
20 500 0.04 4%
45 1,500 0.03 3%
68 850 0.08 8%
120 2,400 0.05 5%

How to use this conversion rate calculator

Enter the number of conversions in the proper input field. After that, enter the total number of visitors, clicks, users, leads, or sessions that belong to the same campaign or measurement period. Then click the calculate button. The calculator will show the ratio and the percentage conversion rate in the result box. Make sure both numbers refer to the same source and the same timeframe so the output stays meaningful.

This calculator is useful for comparing traffic sources, evaluating landing pages, reviewing advertising campaigns, and checking sales funnel performance. If the conversion rate is low, it may suggest weak traffic quality, poor targeting, unclear messaging, pricing friction, or technical issues in the user journey. If the conversion rate is high, it may indicate strong offer-market fit, better user intent, or a more persuasive page experience. Comparing conversion rates over time can help you see whether performance is improving after changes to design, copy, targeting, or page speed.

When using the result, remember that conversion rate should be read alongside volume and business value. A campaign with a high conversion rate but very low traffic may produce fewer total customers than a larger campaign with a moderate conversion rate. It is also helpful to compare the result by channel, device, location, and audience type. This calculator gives a fast numerical view that supports campaign analysis, CRO work, content testing, funnel review, and practical business decision-making.
